Stream Clarity Blueprint · Grades 9 & 10

A subject choice your child
can explain.

Bring together your child’s strengths, their own perspective, your concerns and the subject combinations their school actually offers. Leave with the recommendation and the reasoning in writing.

The process takes 7–10 days.

A practical detail that matters

“Science” is a stream.
Your school offers
specific subjects.

Before the recommendation is finalised, we obtain the actual list of subject combinations your school will offer.

We check which combinations support the pathways being considered, what is available, and what each choice could close off. The Blueprint is written against that list.

The process

Understand first.
Then bring the
decision together.

Your child is heard before the joint conversation. You have private space to discuss your concerns too.

  1. The assessment

Your child completes the Mindler psychometric assessment online. I study it before our first session.

  2. An hour with your child

One to one, without a parent present. We discuss what the evidence means in the context of their interests, experiences and school life.

  3. Your school’s combinations

Between sessions, you or I obtain the school’s actual list so we can compare realistic options.

  4. A conversation together

Fifteen minutes with you privately, followed by forty-five minutes with you and your child. We work through the reasoning, questions and recommendation.

  5. The Blueprint you keep

Delivered within two working days of the second session, along with a one-page school version and a short recap addressed to your child.

What you receive

Your next step,
clearly explained.

Your Stream Clarity Blueprint explains the recommendation and its reasons, the subject combinations your school offers, and the next steps to take before the form is due.

So the reasoning stays with you and your child, long after the conversation.

Illustrative structure. Every Blueprint is personalised.

Four to five useful pages

A document about
your child’s decision.

Short enough to return to. Specific enough to act on.

  1. The recommendation and alternatives

The reasoning, the other options considered and the trade-offs between them.

  2. The student and the subjects

Strengths, interests, aptitude and personality in plain language, alongside your school’s available combinations.

  3. Possible directions

Three to five relevant career clusters, their subject requirements and what each option closes off.

  4. A page for you, and the next steps

How to support your child, what not to push on, and what to do next at this stage.

Different stages, different closing pages

A plan that meets
your family where it is.

Grade 10

Ready for the subject form

Your closing page sets out the steps and dates leading to the school’s submission deadline.

Grade 9

Room to test a direction

Your closing page also identifies interests worth testing and the kind of exposure that could help. Arranging and guiding ongoing exploration is separate work.

Included in your Blueprint

The Blueprint
is complete on its own.

Many families receive their recommendation, use it, and finish here. That is a good outcome.

What is included

  • Mindler psychometric assessment and interpretation
  • School subject-combination check
  • Student session, parent conversation and joint session
  • Written Blueprint, school summary and student recap
Before we work together

A few honest
boundaries.

Will we receive one perfect stream?

Sometimes more than one option genuinely fits. You will receive the reasons and trade-offs. The work does not predict a career or guarantee marks, admission or a job.

What if we have already fixed the choice?

This works when your family is open to examining the evidence and your child can participate. If you only want approval of a predetermined choice, it is unlikely to be the right fit.

Do we need mentorship afterwards?

No. Mentorship is a separate offer for families who want sustained exploration and have enough time for it. The Blueprint is complete without it.

What if our child has already taken an online test?

Bring what you already have to the free review. We will look at what it answered, what you did with it, and whether any further work would be useful.
